Web Services Architect & Technical Team Lead
Our client is a leading provider of sales and business intelligence applications to companies in the Consumer Goods industry. Their applications are designed to help companies improve their sales and supply chain programs through the use of consumer data and embedded analytics.
The Web Services Architect will report to the Director of Software Development, and will work with both our product teams and our partners in the design and development of our web services framework.
The ideal candidate should have strong software development skills and be experienced in architecting integration applications. The candidate must have good communication skills and should be comfortable in a rapid growth environment.
Duties include:
• Work directly with our client’s business teams and customers in gathering requirements
• Develop detailed system designs , specifications, functions, and test plans
• Communication of objectives, and specifications to development (including off-shore) teams
• Designing and building enterprise class .NET applications.
• Define security, hosting and other environmental requirements.
• Technical project management,
• Interaction with Senior Management, Customers and Partners
Required Skills:
• 8-10 years of professional experience designing & implementing product class software.
• 4 years of experience working on a B2B or enterprise application integration
• 4 years of experience working with SOAP
• Extensive experience developing applications in .NET and C#
• Familiarity with developing applications with SQL Server
• Experience with Web services, Web Applications, and System Integration
• Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle
• Ability and skills necessary to guide a team of engineers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passionate and excellent interpersonal skills
Education:
• BS / MS in computer science
Desirable Skills:
• Consulting Experience a plus
• SaaS platform experience
• Experience integrating applications with SAP or Seibel
